Protocol is a code of conduct, a procedural formality, and etiquette, a polite method of
social interaction.  In their combined context, acceptable standards of orderly behavior
based in  considerate manner and demeanor that help create a comfortable atmosphere
for those around you and in turn for yourself.

In an extended context of meaning..., manners are the prelude, the basis of considerate
interaction - kindnesses, if you will, which over time become practice or expectation
otherwise known as  etiquette.  From etiquette, evolves protocol - the most formal and
official rule/procedure  usually based in deference towards others and generally reserved
for business/official/ceremonial purposes of efficiency and expediency.

Some people may say it is pretense, it is putting on airs....  This is not the purpose or
intent nor should it be perceived or practiced with this motive in mind, but rather quite the
contrary.

It is about common  sense....
It is  about thoughtful consideration...
It is about others and you...!
